My Mother’s Hands

My mother’s hands.

They tell a life’s story.

She always wore many, many silver bracelets on her arm. When I was little girl and I would lose her in a store or some such place, I would close my eyes and listen hard for the jingle-jangle of her bracelets. I always found her that way.

My mother’s hands.

I think they are one of the most beautiful things in the world.
