Hammonasset Beach, Madison, Connecticut (USA)

i had all intentions of finally going for a swim yesterday.. but as i got to the beach rather late i found myself, as usual, putting my feet in and then walking in the water and sand.. my favorite times in the summer and maybe even all year.. is searching the sands and sea for new found objects.. i discovered tiny pieces of crustaceans and gathered them without realizing how much time had gone by.

i piled them in my hat and ventured one more time to the water.. knee high i felt the graditude of being there .. a deep breath and then i headed out .. the light was moving on the sand . and something unexpected in patterns caught my eye.. camera almost on dead battery i snapped this photo… a day on the beach documented in sand.. a beach well traveled~!
