The Lower Omo River Valley, near Turmi, Ethiopia (Africa)

This photograph was taken while visiting the Daasanech Tribe in the lower Omo River Valley in Ethiopia. The tribespeople live without any form of running water. They walk at least 10 miles to the Omo River in order to collect water for themselves. This young girl carries a Jerrycan full of water which she is taking back from the river, to the village in which she lives.
